The Internet Shopping Network launches as one of, if not the, first online shopping sites. Working closely with researchers at EIT, the Internet Shopping Network leveraged a new browser called Secure Mosaic in order to allow credit card payments, but they also accepted orders over the phone. They would later be purchased by Home Shopping Network.
